NCPre-K Site Selection
We are opening the NC Pre-K Site Selection Process for the 2017-2018 school year. The Site Selection Process is required by the state and includes a Site Application. The Site Application must be completed by the qualified child care center in order to be considered as an NC Pre-K site. An NC Pre-K Site Selection Rubric Tool that scores applications will be used to determine child care centers best equipped to serve as an NC Pre-K site. If you are existing NC Pre-K site and are in good standing with the Alexander County Partnership for Children NC Pre-K program, the Site Application from the previous Site Selection Process is still on file. A new application is not required.
The NC Pre-K Site Selection Committee will meet to approve sites for the 2017-2018 year. This approval is for two years and contracts may be renewed for a second year provided the site has met all of the assurances and requirements and there are no findings during the monitoring review. Please also note that being approved as a NC Pre-K site does not guarantee placement of children and slot allocation is contingent on funding.

If you plan to apply, there will be a required meeting to discuss the application packet on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 4:00 here at the ACPC office. Please call 828-632-3799 if you have any questions.
